Waranty
< back to overviewQuality is of paramount importance to Heylen. This translates into the double warranty we offer for every purchase: The Belgian Furniture Warranty and the Dutch CBW guarantee.

Heylen guarantees that faults or design errors found in the furniture delivered to you will be solved at the earliest convenience.
1. A fault
If certain parts are not available or not in large enough quantities when the piece of furniture is delivered, we will try to solve it immediately onsite. If a larger part is missing, we will make sure it gets delivered to your home as soon as possible.
2. Design error
In case of any design errors, we take care of the most efficient solution. The discolouration of wood, fabric, fibres and leather, the “working” of wood, wear due to multiple use and damage caused by the customer are obviously not included in this category. For furniture bought at a reduced price no replacements will be made if the damage you found had already been pointed out to you by the salesperson at the time of your purchase. All complaints will first be examined by an expert to decide whether there is an actual design error.
Warranty provisions and conditions
Every order in our showroom is governed by the “Furniture Warranty” agreement. This agreement was drafted by the consumer organisations Test-Aankoop and Arcopar in consultation with the National Association of Furniture Traders. The warranty conditions are almost the same as those of the Dutch Central Branch Association for Housing, which we are affiliated to for our Dutch customers. The specifications of the Furniture guarantee are available on the back of the purchase order.
ISO 9001:2008
The ISO 9001:2008 certificate is a “Business Diploma” which is only issued to companies which meet the highest quality standards. In order to acquire the label, a company needs to develop specific procedures for every business activity and in every department and guarantee that the high quality and service demands are permanently met. In Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany Heylen is even the very first and only furniture business which has been awarded the certificate by the International Standard Organisation (ISO).
The certificate is granted for a period of 3 years by SGS, an internationally recognised certifying institute. It applies to the purchase, exhibition, sale, delivery and assembly of the furniture. Also supporting processes such as warehouse management, planning and after-sales service have to meet the ISO standards before the label is granted.
Heylen is constantly monitored to make sure that acquired standards are maintained and permanently improved. The ISO 9001:2008 certificate can be compared to a starred restaurant which will lose stars when certain standards are no longer met.
